I’m always chasing fresh new inspiration and the Aberdeen landscape didn’t disappoint. Jane has created a magical retreat on her working farm and you can choose from four astoundingly beautiful boutique bolt holes that celebrate the rural vernacular. Expect far reaching views, cliff top walks, wood fired saunas @saunaatthekings and the hostess with the mostest. Her care and design diligence has left me recharged and reinspired. a good wipe down, and check those expiry dates (because let’s be honest, there’s probably
something lurking from 2021), and ditch what you don’t need.

A beautifully organised space makes everyday life easier—and even a pantry can bring you
joy! Think of your pantry as an open-shelving moment. I love my jars of all my nuts and seeds, a little reminder to stay on top of my health goals. Grouping by category makes a space that’s practical and makes you smile.

Before you go on an overexcited restock, take note of what you already have. Plan a few meals around forgotten ingredients (hello, budget-friendly dinners!). And if you keep overbuying the same things, make a list to stick inside the cupboard door. A pantry that works for you, not against you!

Weekend away in Aberdeen at @boutiquefarmbothies was just the injection of inspiration i needed. I love the buzz you get exploring new places and Denend Farmhouse holiday cottage, did not disappoint. The colour so cleverly flows from room to room for an immersive experience. This is full throttle colour and i love it!

A few clever takeaways
- While every room is drenched in different colour they match in tone and intensity so the house has flow
- The beautifully sourced vintage floral fabrics are on cushions, curtains and bed throws working as a design thread throughout
- There are plenty of clever thrifty hacks, from painting old bed frames neon yellow, to roller printed walls to collections of charity shop art, all work towards creating a space that feels original.

What my friend Jane (who is a strawberry farmer by trade!) has created here is absolute magic! It proves a pot of bright coloured paint and a positive attitude to just go for it, can go a long way to creating such a joyful space. I can’t wait to take friends back with me in the summer and get into that hot tub!
