How to style up your footstool or coffee table
As an Interior Stylist I have to know how to style up interior spaces to make them look fabulous. It’s often as easy as rearranging the bits and bobs that you already own, into a nice and pleasing display. Even while the designers on The Great Interior Design Challenge do a FANTASTIC job, they often miss out on the finishing touches that can make all the difference
In my latest Vlog I talk about how to style up your footstool or coffee table. In my own home I’ve opted for a large over sized footstool from Sofa.com. I got rid of my vintage coffee table when I had my son and he was toddling about- those sharp hard edges had to go! The soft edges of the footstool are perfect for young kids. And now he’s four it’s now become a great platform for performing on!
I also love a footstool as it provides extra seating when you have a lot of people over, so its a real multifunctional piece of furniture. If storage is short, you could opt for an ottoman style. Either way the way your style them up is very similar to a coffee table but you want to ensure you have a tray or some large coffee table books which will work as hard surfaces to pop things down on, like a drink for example.
