This year’s venue is a new one and you are going to absolutely love it! Ham Court Studio is situated in Bampton, home to artist Matthew Rice, right in the heart of the Cotswolds.

#AD Maximalism is all about creating a little bit of magic by styling your home in unexpected ways. I’m very excited to see @Habitatuk turn 60 this year and am in love with so many pieces from the new collection. So, I’ve given my home a refresh with some striking new pieces from their iconic 60th Anniversary collection. Here’s how…

MATCH COLOUR
When you have an eclectic mix of patterns, styles and objects, sticking to a core colour palette will ensure it looks coherent. These Radica vases by contemporary ceramicist Silvia Kamodyova look stunning against my vintage floral wallpaper because even though the motifs are very different the colours tie it all together.

MIX OLD AND NEW
Part of the charm of maximalism is the idea your home accumulates more and more beautiful things over time! While I love traditional shaped furniture for its timeless appeal, a fresh new pattern gives an instant uplift like this Levi embroidered cushion by celebrated British textile designer Margo Selby. And you can never have too many cushions!

CLASH PATTERNS
Part of the joy of a Maximalist home is in collecting different patterns and enjoying them together. Never be afraid to make a bold statement and this iconic Klee ceramic table lamp makes an arresting focal point on my hall table, set against the busy floral patterns for contrast.

BLEND STYLES
Always avoid the overly matchy-matchy and instead embrace different styles from different eras to create a more original look. This Scottie oak dining chair in this sensational electric blue adds an unexpected twist to an otherwise traditional
room scheme, but again notice how the colour links to the wallpaper design, so it looks totally at home.
